What We Do

Food Bank in Northwest Arkansas
serving from Fayetteville, AR

The NWA Food Bank is one of six Feeding America Food Banks in Arkansas.  It is our desire
for healthy food to reach the kitchen tables of our neighbors as quickly as possible.
We are encouraged by the numbers which reflect this effort.

The NWA Food Bank currently has about 160 partner agencies ranging from food pantries,
soup kitchens, shelters, and many more. In 2016 we distributed
over 11.4 million pounds of food to these partners.

The Food Bank works to distribute food to those who are food insecure in our community while forming strong relationships with business, non profit organizations, and others in the community who share the passion to end hunger in Northwest Arkansas.

How We Operate

Donations Are Made

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank secures donations
from the food and grocery industries, government agencies, and other organizations.

Food Is Stored

The food that is donated or purchased is then stored
in our 22,000-square-foot warehouse located
in Bethel Heights.

Food Is Distributed

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank arranges pick-ups
with it’s 150+ member charitable agencies.

Food Reaches Those In Need

Donations are provided to people in need at food pantries, soup kitchens, youth programs, senior centers, schools, and emergency shelters.

In addition to providing food for many food insecure residents in Northwest Arkansas, the NWA Food Bank operates several programs to reach the most vulnerable
in our community.
