Join us in September to fight hunger in Northwest Arkansas!

Hunger Action Month

This month marks the start of Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign by Feeding America to spotlight food insecurity. Arkansas unfortunately ranks highest in food insecurity, but this initiative strives to change that. Orange symbolizes hunger, so we’re encouraging everyone to wear orange throughout September to help spread awareness. We also invite Arkansans to volunteer, donate, and engage on social media to drive change.

About Northwest Arkansas Food Bank

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, one of six Feeding America food banks in the state, is committed to quickly getting healthy food to families in need. In 2024, we distributed over 14.9 million pounds of food through more than 110 agency partners—including pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens—as well as through Feed Rogers, Mobile Pantries, and School Pantries. We continue to build strong partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, and community members who share our mission to end hunger in Northwest Arkansas.

Donate this Action Hunger Month

We’re incredibly grateful to our volunteers and donors for generously giving their time and energy to support families battling hunger.
