Helping You Set the Table

Use SNAP to Purchase Groceries

SNAP is short for supplemental nutrition Assistance Program. It's a federal program that helps eligible households save money and stretch their budget with monthly paid benefits to purchase groceries.

Your Benefits can be used at a wide range of participating locations across Arkansas like grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores, gas stations and some farmers markets.

YOUR SNAP EBT CARD

HOW DOES SNAP WORK?

SNAP makes it simple to buy food with the Arkansas EBT (electronic benefits transfer) Card. An application is required with the Department of Human services to determine eligibility for SNAP benefits. If eligible and approved, your benefits will be automatically applied to your SNAP EBT card each month and can be used just like a debit card to purchase groceries.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR SNAP BENEFITS?

Our network is here to help advise residents in Northwest Arkansas about SNAP and help them apply for benefits at no charge. An application with the Department of Human Services is required to find out if you are eligible. We are here to walk you through the entire application process for free.

We are not the Department of Human Services SNAP benefits main office. Our Outreach Coordinator can help you fill out an application, but if you need assistance with an application that was already filed, or have questions about your benefits, please call your local county office.
